DESCRIPTION:A Matter of Balance is a program designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels among older adults. \nWho should attend A Matter of Balance Program?\nThe program was designed to benefit older adults who: \n\nAre concerned about falls\nHave sustained falls in the past\nRestrict activities because of concerns about falling\nAre interested in improving flexibility\, balance and strength\nAre age 60 or older\, community-dwelling and able to problem solve\n\nHow does it work?\n\nA Matter of Balance community classes  offered in-person.\nThe in-person A Matter of Balance includes 8 two-hour sessions meeting weekly.\nLed by two trained facilitators for a small group of 8-12 participants.\n\n
